We kindly ask that you have a Case Manager with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) or a loved one who is currently in the hospital requiring placement, prior to requesting a tour.
If this is the case, you may call the Quality of Life Manager at 604-913-4707 to set up a tour.
To become a resident at Inglewood Care Centre, you must go through VCH. The potential resident’s care level is assessed by a Long-Term Care Case Manager in the community, or in an acute care hospital by a Discharge Planner, to determine their eligibility for admission. The individual will then be put on a wait list for long-term care.
Step 1: Contact VCH Intake at 604-986-7111.
Step 2: A Case Manager will conduct an assessment with you for home & community care services.
Step 3: If eligible, you will be put on the wait list for long-term care.
As a resident’s health status changes, the Clinical Team at Inglewood may have to transfer residents between beds to accommodate these needs.
Inglewood is licensed by the Ministry of Health under the Hospital Act and the Health Authority under the Community Care and Assisted Living Act. The government sets the rates that all care homes charge their residents.
The monthly rate will be determined based on an income assessment and is 80% of your net income.
Please note that you will be charged the maximum rate if your taxes are not up-to-date and typically, adjustments will not be backdated.
